2018-2019
The Israeli Biomimicry Organization,
published its first announcement on the graduate fellowships for 2018-2019 to
support (NIS 5,000 /per year) graduate students towards advanced (Masters &
PhD) degrees in an Israeli institution of higher education, who have a Research
Advisor (Professor or equivalent) and are devoted to Biomimicry related
studies/research.
Priority will be given to both engineering and
scientific research in biomimetic:
- · Materials
- · Robotics, Locomotion & Medical (medical devices and pharmaceuticals)
- · Design and architecture

Information as required below must be submitted in ENGLISH.
1. Cover
Sheet specifying clearly, in order, one line for each heading:
a. Full Name
(indicate m. or f.); b. Date and Place of Birth and Citizenship; c. Gender
d. University where enrolled, Department, and names and Titles of Formal
Research Supervisor(s); e. Date when Doctoral studies commenced and
Estimated Date of Completion; g. Title or Subject of Research; h. Postal
address, e-mail, and telephone number.

An Education History specifying, in order:
a. Past
Schooling (High School through Graduate School) with dates and places, fields
of study, degrees earned, and overall grades (important); b. Awards and
Distinctions, if applicable; c.
Publications and Presentations; d. Relevant Positions and Job
Descriptions, if applicable;
3. A Study/Research Plan for 2018/19 with clear
descriptions of the:
Research Subject,
Scientific and Practical Goals of the Research, and Technical Means and
Approach of the Research, plus its Motivations, the Bio-Wow, science and
potential application.
People
with scientific and engineering training will review your Submittal so that sufficient
detail is necessary. We recommend a submission of up to 3 page. Figures,
photographs, formulae, references, etc are optional.

A Personal Letter including:
History,
interests, activities, aspirations, special aspects of character, disabilities
(if any).

A Letter from applicant's Research Advisor(s):
Confirming the Advisor's
agreement to supervise the applicant's research and describing knowledge of the
applicant with an evaluation of potential.
Applications
cannot be reviewed in the absence of this letter.
